Duncannon Smokehouse is a Wexford company producing Irish Smoked Salmon, Cold Smoked Trout and Oak Smoked Haddock since 1974.
Wexford is a truly beautiful maritime county in the south east of Ireland. With 120km of coastline and 2,353 sq km of rich agricultural land Wexford has always been famous for its food, from both land and sea. In farming, Wexford was given the name ‘The Model County’ because of its progressive farming methods and the first agricultural school in Ireland was opened in Wexford in the 1850s.
Wexford also lures many tourists with Ireland’s sunniest weather and many beautiful, long beaches. We are very proud to be associated with such nautical gems as Hook Head Lighthouse and the Dunbrody Famine Ship and much of our seafood, for sale in Duncannon Fish, is brought in through the picturesque village of Kilmore Quay, a ‘Sea Angling Centre of Excellence’. Forty-one species have been caught on rod and line off Kilmore Quay, ranging from hard-fighting bass and fast-running tope, to the sleek blue shark.
